In the lead up to the annual CAMS Australian Rallying Hall of Fame Gala Dinner the latest ten inductees have been revealed giving family, friends and rally fans the opportunity to plan to attend the prestigious event. To be held on the evening of 27th February at the Rydges Lakeside in Canberra, the 2014 Gala Dinner will welcome the next ten legendary inductees into the Hall of Fame. Representing an incredibly diverse range of experiences and backgrounds in Australian Rallying this year’s inductees are (in alphabetical order): Colin Bond, Barry Ferguson, Evan Green, Fred Gocentas, Graham Hoinville, Frank Kilfoyle, David Officer, Kate Officer, Ed Ordynski and Jim Reddiex. Adding to the excitement of the evening was the announcement prior to Christmas that World Rally legend Ari Vatanen will be the guest speaker on the evening, sharing astonishing stories from his years of involvement in the sport. These important pieces offered individually for auction are the only examples ever to be offered, and are thus unique. Only one other set of “twin pieces” has been created, which will be kept for permanent display by the Museum, never to be sold. Each commemorative piece has taken the Australian Rally Museum hours of meticulous planning, months of gathering content material, and then many more hours in the actual creation. The 2014 CAMS Australian Rally Hall of Fame Gala Dinner promises to be a spectacular event celebrating the history, diversity and excitement of our sport and the events organisers encourage those interested in attending to book tickets quickly before they all run out! |
